STEM Day

Tuesday 4th March saw Year 9 pupils experience a full day of STEM activities. They took part in a range of activities throughout the day which highlighted what a career in Engineering may entail. Pupils were tasked with constructing super structures and  then design and construct a mock skeleton run with limited resources. Pupils then went on to a robot workshop where they competed in a ‘robot wars’ styled arena. Finally there were two sessions on evaluation and design. The day went very well with lots of Year 9 going home with a new take on Engineering and resources to link them online to more information.
