Over the weekend of 20 and 21 June, Mr Treharne, Head of ICT at Colonel Frank Seely Academy in Calverton was set a challenge along with some friends from his local Gym, to climb the three highest mountains in the UK in under 24 hours. First was Ben Nevis in Scotland then Scarfell Pike in England and then onto Snowdon in Wales. Mr Treharne achieved this in a fantastic time of 23 hours and 43 minutes which included him running up Snowdon in 2 hours 40 mins to make sure he completed the challenge under the target time!
So far Mr Treharne has raised £320 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice which offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy.
