Continue Your Education

Continuing your education can mean either further or higher education at college or university.

UCAS helps you search through all university courses, outlines their requirements and explains how the application process works. The site sets out to remove the stress from what can be a very nervous time in life deciding what to do as a career.

Gap Year

Do you fancy doing something you really wished could happen for a long time?  Maybe taking a gay year would help you realise your wishes.  During your gap year you could:

  • Work in Britain
  • Work abroad
  • Volunteer – either in this country or abroad

All of these options can provide you with work experience to help you make decisions about possible future careers and courses.  They will also help you build a fuller, better, more attractive CV that future employers will be interested in.

Don’t worry – there is lots of help available to help and guidance which will enable you to make those important first steps.

  • Discuss your ideas with your tutor in school plus a number of teachers
  • Contact your local ‘Futures’ centre for an interview
  • Talk to your friends and family

Apprenticeship Vacancies

The school are doing some work with 3aaa and Vision Apprenticeships who are major providers of Apprenticeships across the country and the only employability skills provider in the country to be rated “outstanding” by Ofsted (Futures are Good).

Both companies provide all aspects of the Apprenticeship including both the college based taught element and the placement within the sector.
