Former CFS pupil and Paralympic Gold medallist, Richard Whitehead, is in the middle of the mammoth task of running ’40 Marathons in 40 Days’. The run began on 13th August and will finish around 23rd September with Richard running around 1000 miles. For more information about the run, visit http://www.richardwhiteheadrunsbritain.com. You can donate there at the website, however we have our very own ‘Just Giving’ page especially for Richard and his charities. If you can spare some money (no matter how big or small) to support Richard’s amazing charity challenge, please click to visit our ‘CFS Just Giving Page‘.
This Sunday (8th September), CFS are encouraging our pupils and their families to sign up for the Family Fun Run starting at the Victoria Embankment hosted by Richard when he hopes to encourage Nottingham and the wider Community to join him on a 5K run. You must register online for the Fun Run, so if you would like to take part (with us or just by yourself) click ‘HERE‘ to register. The cost is just £5, all of which goes to his charities. We have some CFS Team T shirts at school. Please contact School Reception or Mr Gale if you would like to borrow some for your family to wear for the run.
Mr Gale and a group of pupils are also going along to the Market Square on Monday 9th September to give Richard a proper CFS send off for the next stage of his run. If running isn’t your thing but you would like to give, please go to our ‘Just Giving‘ page.
We here at CFS wish you all the best, Richard.
In addition to this event, Mr Gale our Assistant Headteacher, Mrs Wayne our Finance Assistant and Mr Pidgeon our ICT Technician, will be tackling the Robin Hood half marathon to raise money for Richard’s Charities. Please support them at our ‘Just Giving‘ page.
