Local Automotive Fabric Manufacturer, Guilford Performance Textiles (part of Lear Corporation) has donated over £13,000 worth of computer equipment including 36 PCs to Colonel Frank Seely School as part of their community and charity commitment.
The PCs will be used across all areas of the curriculum to enhance students learning and development of these subjects.
School Business Manager Trina Ridgill said “We greatly appreciate the donation by Guilford Performance Textiles. Their donation of ICT equipment will replace and complement our existing IT provision. All pupils, aged 11-19 will benefit from the resources”.
The PCs were delivered by Richard Staley, Technology Officer and Aaron Buckingham, HR Officer from Guilford Performance Textiles.
Aaron Buckingham of Guilford Performance Textiles said “We take our Corporate Social Responsibility seriously at Guilford and we take every opportunity we can to give something back. I know these PCs will be going to a very worthwhile home and I hope they will help the students at Colonel Frank Seely School”.
